best. day. ever

Happy middle of the week everyone!
I am so excited to be sharing one of my new favorite images from Saturated Canary
that I made into a simple, celebration card:

Isn't Love Language ~ Gifts adorable? She has the sweetest face!
I love that she doesn't need to be just for a birthday,
you can use her for any happy gift-giving occasion. :)
I decided to use darker copics for her,
just because she reminds me of my youngest daughter.
She is paired with Happy Day papers {simple stories}
and bling embellishments from Michaels.
I hope you are having the best day ever!
I love this time of year where everyone is giddy about giving (and receiving - teehee!).
Treat yourself to some beautiful digis over at Krista's shop - you deserve it!
And don't forget to join Saturated Canary's Facebook page for awesome specials,
announcements, and a monthly challenge.

Happy Wednesday everyone, thank you for coming by!

Happy Monday!

Hello everyone and happy holidays to you!
I know it's a busy time, so I'll keep it short and sweet.
It's sooo busy, in fact, that I am a week late with my card for The Pink Elephant. ;)
This whole month of December, we want you to be inspired by this picture:

Oooh, so festive and happy!
You can interpret this any way your holiday heart desires,
using any stamp from any company, with any papers and embellishments. :)

Here is my card using an image and sentiment from The Greeting Farm:

That sweet birdhouse is from My Heart (adorably versatile set, btw!),
and the sentiment is part of Dollie with Gifts.
I added twine, MS punched leaves, bling, and a cuttlebug folder as well.

Come on over and join in on the fun over at The Pink Elephant!
We would love to see your creations for the entire month of December.

Have a wonderful day everyone, stay warm and bright! :)

TPE Challenge #278

Happy beautiful Monday everyone!
I hope you're looking forward to a great week,
with Thanksgiving and food, maybe friends and family visiting?
Until then, be sure to join us over at The Pink Elephant for this week's challenge of:

That's right! Easy peasy, anything that you'd like us to ooh and ahh over. ;)

Here is my card using Saturated Canary's Futuristic Fashion:

I'm really into CAS cards lately, just because they're easier to mail.
During this holiday season it's always nice to have something simple to send off.
Very easy, basic card -
I colored her in with copics and added an American Crafts rub on sentiment.
I did spend quite a bit of time coloring her though, which is always fun. ;)

Now it's your turn to join in on the fun!

TPE Challenge #277

Happy beautiful Tuesday everyone!
I am a day late with inclement weather and my cable box/internet was down.
But have no fear - you still have plenty of time to join in on our challenge this week!

We want to see ANYTHING BUT A CARD.

Next week will be a busy one with Thanksgiving celebrations,
so I thought I'd post a link to a fun banner I found online:

I took this picture at night, there are actually a few more details up close. ;)
The banner comes in a textured print, with the bunting shape already made.
All you need to do is print it out (I did it on kraft cardstock),
attach twine (I used - gasp - eyelets!), and voila. A fun banner for the holidays!
You can find the downloadable banner HERE on The Tomkat Studio page.

So I happen to be a HUGE fan of November, its colors, and especially Thanksgiving.
While others are already decorating for Christmas, I linger in the fall. ;)
Here are some other parts of my home that I thought I'd share:

3 tiered stand from Hobby Lobby that I had to have
{fruits are edible, by the way ;) }

knick knacks for the dining room credenza
burlap plate from Hobby Lobby that I love love love love.

Chalboard sign from Sam's (SAM'S!!) on clearance for $7
It is reversible too, with "Welcome" on the flip side.
Sweet little owl that my 8 year old named Dr. Who.
(btw, I have never seen an episode so I'm not sure where she got that from...)

Come and enter TPE's anything but a card challenge too!

Happy beautiful day everyone, stay warm!

TPE challenge #275

Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend,
and have exciting plans for the days to come. :)
This week we begin a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant:

This week we want to see:
That's right, because minimal designs are perfect for this time of year. teehee!

Here is my card using the adorable Saturated Canary image
Shonnaugh's Prince Charming:

I printed her out on white cardstock then just colored away. :)
I was looking for a "You're on my mind" sentiment (lol)
but went with this one instead, designed by my friend Renae.
To keep it easy, I added the bow and layered the card base with coordinating colors.

Come on over to The Pink Elephant blog to play along,
the designers have created such beautiful samples..

It's time for a fun new challenge over at The Pink Elephant:

This week we want to see you be inspired by this beautiful Fall picture:

How beautiful is this?
Old shutters, sprigs, flowers, berries...*sigh.  teehee!
Here is my card using Feather Crown from Saturated Canary:

Isn't she such a doll? I love her expressive eyes and sweet crown.
Her hair was so much fun to color up too!
I paired her with Crate Paper {DIY Shop} and embellis from Michaels.
Come along and join in on the fun!
The DT created some fabulous samples for you to enjoy,
