Piece Out!

Happy wonderful, glorious, thank goodness it's Friday everyone!
It's time for a fun challenge for you over at The Greeting Farm, are you ready?
We want to see you:

PAPER PIECING

Oh my goodness, I remember when I first saw this technique years and years ago.
I was so giddy with the fact that you could do clothing with texture and color!
Here is my card using the beautiful Anya Blooms:

I went a bit 'country' with her outfit, after finding this sweet plaid paper
and all the fun coordinating ones in the 6x6 pack (Simple Stories: Summer Fresh).
Added twine and a button and she's ready for a County Fair, isn't she? ;)

Come on over and join us - this is such a FUN challenge,
the designers have created the sweetest cards using paper piecing and TGF images.
Click here to visit the blog and link up your work for your chance to win.
Thank you so much for coming by to see me on this beautiful day!

Enjoy your weekend, I hope it goes just as you want it to. :)

the Deconstructed Sketch #101

Happy beautiful Thursday everyone!
It's time for a brand new sketch for Jen's awesome challenge site.
I can't believe she's done 101 sketches so far - wowza!
For my card I used the beautiful Saturated Canary image "The Seasons, Springtime II"
an American Crafts rub on sentiment, and some scrap papers.
I also pulled out some Martha Stewart cardstock, and a WalMart doily to soften the scene.

Here is the sketch (which I rotated, by the way):

As you can see, I had some issues with size - lol!
In my defense, she was way too pretty of an image to shrink down. ;)
I am also entering her into Saturated Canary's color challenge:

Now it's your turn to create something with that lovely layout!
Click here to hop over to the Deconstructed Sketch blog to enter in this week.

A New GVT Challenge!

Happy happy Tuesday everyone!
It's time for a new Garden Variety Tuesday challenge over at the Farm:

BLUE and GREEN

Any hue, any shade, as long as it is in these two color families!
Here is my sample using the adorable Garden Anya:

She's such a cutie! I love her little outfit and basket of flowers. :)
I've colored her in with the no border technique and with copics.
Her sweet basket was paper pieced with the same papers from MME's Be Amazing stack.
I also pulled out an oldie sentiment from the Grammie & Gramps set (retired),
and used the following sketch from Sketch Saturday:

Come on over and play with us this week!
The Greeting Farm has some amazing prizes for those who enter and win,
so be sure to visit us here and link up your work to be eligible.
Have a wonderful day everyone, thank you so much for swinging by!

TPE Challenge #199

Happy beautiful Monday everyone!
I do hope your Mother's Day was just as wonderful as you?
We had a very relaxing day, hubby grilled burgers and my kiddos made sure to celebrate the day.
I had homemade cards (lots of them!), flowers, cake, and ice cream. Yum!

And now it's time for a new challenge over at The Pink Elephant:
MASCULINE BIRTHDAY
Tricky one for me as I love making froo-froo cards. heehee!
Here is mine using a Stampin' Up sentiment as a focal point:

I found the Recollection paper from Michaels, then added more punched out leaves.
I created this card using the current sketch over at Sunday, Sketch & Stamp:

That's a fun sketch isn't it? I am a day late in posting my card,
but be sure to stop in to the Sunday, Sketch & Stamp blog to join us in the fun.

Then come on over and join us for this fun Masculine Birthday Challenge over at TPE!

But before you dive into Friday and the other 2 glorious days that follow,
come and join us for the Deconstructed Sketch's 100th challenge - week #2!
For my second sample I used the sweet Twirl Anya from TGF (retired).
I bought these amazing papers from a sales site and loved the matching pinwheels.
So much so that I made my own little one to pop up on the image. heehee!
I'll try to make a little tutorial on that one soon for you - easy peasy...
Once again, here is the reminder of what the celebratory sketch looks like:
There are 2 fabulous prizes up for grabs:
one from Tiddly Inks and the other from Taylored Expressions.
